Turbulence
2025
A contemporary circus performance about climate, migration and what it means to feel at home
Turbulence
Hail the size of a man's fist, droughts, hurricanes, forest fires and floods. Climate change is no longer something vague, belonging to the future or distant lands. It is here and now, and we are in the middle of it.
TURBULENCE examines the effects of climate change on ordinary people and the bodily experience of being on the run. Here, five circus artists are put into a physical battle, where the survival strategy requires them to constantly move their base. Their center of acrobatic expression is set in motion and challenged, and they must invent new ways of acting in order to survive.
