SOME THINGS ARE DIFFICULT TO SAY 2019
A PERSONAL PERFORMANCE ABOUT LOSING YOUR VOICE
Katrina and Troels are a couple. Katrina has lost her voice. Troels - armed with his guitar, a microphone and a hammer - is on a mission to help her find it.
Some Things Are Difficult to Say is a personal documentary performance about being at a loss for words. It is also an intimate, intergenerational tale of being from somewhere else… Expect homemade music, spontaneous dancing, real-life stories, and unspoken truths.
The live performance of Some Things Are Difficult to Say has been extended and transposed into a performative, analytical text in "Languages of Trauma: History, Memory, and Media" edited by P. Leese, J. Kohne, and J. Crouthamel and published by University of Toronto Press (2021).
