AN AUTOBIOGRAPHICAL ODYSSEY THROUGH THE COMPLEXITIES OF SAYING GOODBYE
POSTHUMOUS WORKS 2010
Inspired by the disappearance of his bike and a recently inherited gramophone, Ivan Hansen's Posthumous Works is a mediation on life, loss, and the inevitability of the unknown. Through a mix of movement, live music, images and text, this piece explores the complexities of saying goodbye.
Posthumous Works premiered at the Birmingham European Festival in 2010. It was subsequently performed at The mac (Midland Arts Center), Birmingham, The Danish Cultural Institute, Edinburgh Fringe, The Masca Festival, Bucharest, Bob Festival, Bios Athens
Tobacco Factory Theatres, UK and was supported by the Danish Arts Council and the Danish Embassy in London.
