Georgette Va Au Supermarche interrogates the intense and unobtainable pressure on women to be and look perfect, as well as the persistence of gender inequality in the division of domestic labour.
Georgette Va Au Supermarche was conceived and devised in collaboration with Ici Est La. It was developed in residence in Santa Maria Da Feira, Portugal, at Teatro Cine A. Lamoso where it premiered in 2007. It subsequently toured to the CREARC Festival in Grenoble and Theater 14 in Paris, France.
